Set the driver first

Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, mirrors, and head restraint correctly before judging the space behind it. Repeat for every regular driver.

Test every regular passenger

Check headroom, knee room, foot space, door opening, roofline, seat-belt access, and ease of entry. A sloping roof can make a roomy specification feel difficult.

Child-seat and cargo checks

  • Install the actual child seat according to its instructions and the vehicle manual.
  • Check front-seat position after installation.
  • Load the stroller, bags, mobility aid, pet equipment, or work items.
  • Confirm the trunk or hatch can close without forcing objects against glass or passengers.
  • Look for secure tie-down points and storage for small items.

Do not depend on litres alone

Opening shape, floor length, height under the parcel shelf, wheel housings, hinges, and folded-seat steps determine what fits.
